Don’t know what your basis is, but this was not true in my household. I’m independent & my wife a dem. My son, a staunch Trump hater, went to Chicago for a year of research & got stuck w/in-house isolation just as covid broke out. He came home 1 year later a rabid MAGA. It was isolation & podcasts.

The dads (and moms) will find many reasons why this isn't their responsibility. Even though raising kids (by example) to be anti-racist, feminist and to think critically about society and their own values helps inoculate them against manosphere grifters, advertising and exploitation in general.

This isn't new. Teenage boys have always been entranced by assholes who seem to get away with stuff or get rewarded for being assholes because they're in the age-appropriate teen process of testing how much shit they can personally get away with. Testing boundaries is part of how children learn.

Yes we do and that's fine. My main point is that teen boys often look for exciting male role models outside of the home, who they perceive as sexually and socially successful, and this is part of individuation (girls do the same). Upsetting parents adds to the allure in many cases.

Honestly, I believe both of y'all.

I watched the same thing happen with Rush Limbaugh on talk radio, making fathers and uncles insufferable and bitter. This looks like a similar project, but on YouTube for kids.
