Some rare good news re UK immigration policy that I thought worth sharing
100s of refugee families who were accepted for UK resettlement but had been waiting years for relocation have finally arrived in Britain in the last yr, as the new govt has been quietly prioritising their cases

Then in Jan 2024 I obtained HO data showing a whopping 1,256 people were STILL waiting more than 3 yrs on
Most families accepted under UKRS tend to be vulnerable (for example with children with disabilities), & many struggle to make ends meet while they await relocation
But I was pleasantly surprised to discover that most of them had finally been relocated to the UK, w just 240 still left who'd been waiting 4years+ (still a lot, but far fewer)
But this at least indicates that more effort is being made to ensure the UK's existing safe & legal routes are actually working
