A tremendous amount of produce crosses the border into the U.S. from Mexico. I live 60 miles from the border in Arizona. I have friends in the produce business who haul truckloads north from the border every single day. This would impact ALL of us here in America. Everywhere.

The sad part is the recent spikes in the cost of eggs had nothing to do with any policies or even general inflation. They were entirely due to the effects avian flu had on the egg-laying stock. Millions of chickens had to be destroyed. That’s a double-digit percentage decrease in supply.
