I watched Scrubs because it was funny and so unserious.

I don't typically watch medical shows, but I saw a preview for The Pitt in which they touched on COVID PTSD for healthcare workers AND paying nurses a living wage and I just might have to indulge.

The only one I've ever been able to tolerate is Call the Midwife (which is awesome). Largely b/c they don't center the medicine around people getting African Trypanosomiasis or thallium poisoning. It's like inexperienced midwife does a breech birth alone in a London flat in the 1950s.

Medical dramas are either 1. Super triggering, I lived that, I don’t need to see it again, or 2. So inaccurate it makes me mad I give up lol. But I can forgive some of the inaccuracies in comedies

I loved it because the unseriousness was sincere and actually helped during my residency. But I can’t watch it any more. Medical culture has changed for the better and it’s too cringe now. 😔

There is a lot of ideation, as a heads up.

Like, the whole show is just my entire traumatic career jammed into two episodes, but that particular content warning is there.
