Megadeth - Countdown to Extinction (1992)
A good transition from thrash to heavy metal. It still has its own unique vibe and it contains exactly what I love about this band so far. You really can't hate on Mustaine's vocals ‼️

Quite surprising. I kinda like the more heartfelt vibe. The album focuses more on inner and personal problems, which I didn't really expect from Megadeth. Last track feels like a reward after such a listening journey.
Also it was released on my birthday 🙃
This album is hollow, anguished, a real depiction of childhood trauma. JD is known for his versatile vocals and they convey his anguish in such a way. The last track was the most depressing song I've ever listened to, and I didn't cry just a little. Huge respect for this
Kinda a mix of everything the band's made so far. Not their most polished release but it was still very enjoyable. I'm a bit sad to know this is the last album featuring Menza :(
Ehh. Not their best release, honestly. It got some nice stuff, sure, but some of the tracks sounded too awkward for me. At least they never disappoint when it comes to the outro songs, that one was very dark too
Nice! Classic nu metal album here, they did a way better work compared to the previous release but it still doesn't overtop the self-titled. The rapping parts didn't feel too awkward overall and JD's scat is at its best🗣️
Very confusing at first, it starts pretty well but afterwards I had to take some time to get used to the change from heavy metal to hard rock...
It was sure a risky bet, but I honestly think it's not as terrible as some people try to say.
I'll miss Friedman from now on 😞
