Terrible time to get a serious muscle injury in his situation. Don’t understand the stick he gets re the contract situation. He’s given EFC everything and there’s nothing wrong with a pro wanting a change of environment. Sometimes the time comes for both parties to move on. Hope he gets a move.

People forget this. Since Carlo we’ve had a series of poor managers, none of whom have lasted over 18 months. As well as that, we’ve had zero money to spend in order to get players around him. Yes, he should be scoring more but I don’t think any striker in the world would thrive in this environment.

More as a free agent normally but would depend on fitness/wage demands. Free agents tend to get better wage packets/signing bonus as no fee involved. But will be interesting summer for him now

Well, he could have gone to Newcastle over summer. There was a period under Ancelotti where he was excellent and forced his way into the England squad. On his day (last derby), he's still a threat - just had so many injuries

I'd be offering him contract, when fit he will work well under Moyes. Key to this is having other around him, and some competition. And staying fit. So maybe a contract based around this, increment based on appreances.
