I'm ok with any romance that's well written/funny, but I just don't like books set in the modern day in general. My most hated trope is modern AU. Why would you take these characters out of their fantastical whimsical world just to put them in an office? Idk, the 21st century is kinda cringe to me 🤷♀️
Yeah I can't read it if it's not historical, fantasy or science-fiction (and it depends for sci-fi)! 😭 I actually never thought it had anything to do with me being aro but now that I think of it... there's definitely a link there
i think i like historical and fantastical romances BECAUSE they are unnatainable but modern ones are too real and all the dating activities are so repulsive when i think abt them too much LMAO😭😭
