This photo earned a follow instantly. It took me straight back to using the tube 25 years ago, I remember the smell, the rush of the air as the train approached, the noises, all of it magical and a distant memory now. Thanks to tube mapper Luke for sharing his talent. Beautiful work

London Underground is one of the most consciously branded/designed/architected systems in the world since early C20. Paris Metro got stuck in Art Nouveau until a wholesale switch to brutalism in the 70s. London Transport has been quietly employing very aware designers through movement after movement
