very lucky to be currently in a position where i don’t need PIP but there’s so many disabilities which fluctuate dramatically and the assessment doesn’t account for that at all. like one manic episode and i go from holding all my shit down to dangerously dysfunctional within days - ThreadSky

I just recently had my first... Still waiting to hear if its applicable.

I was so messed up running up to it that I ended up with severe abdominal pain for a week after.
Waiting for the result during the current news is... leaving me uneasy

100%. There can be a huge difference between someones worst and best days. Often assessors aren't attuned to that and will declare someone fit because they seem ok on the day.

it’s so evil how disabled people receiving welfare aren’t allowed to save up any money for emergencies, like they’re deliberately kept on the precipice of financial oblivion at all times, the constant background stress must exacerbate so many conditions and is going to get worse

I have cluster headaches and 4 migraines most days and my pip came back as 0 across the board. Conditions with some of the highest suicide rates in all of medicine because of the pain and isolation and some rando goes "nah this doesn't affect your life at all"

If the government want to reduce welfare payments they should get people the treatment they need.
Obviously doesn’t work for everyone, but lots are off sick waiting, just waiting.
