The federal government funds 90% of the Medicaid Expansion spending in Idaho and 70% of traditional Medicaid. Senator Wintrow pointed out that the cost Idaho taxpayers are responsible for Medicaid expansion is $90 million. The GOP majority has proposed $400 million in tax cuts, mostly income taxes.
