Love this list! Hope you can achieve most / all of it!
This year I started getting up at 4:30am and walking for 45-60 mins. That maybe the biggest change I made this year and it really improved my life. I hate getting up that early but now it is a habit.
I have already begun seeing "I did X and Y this year, therefore I am better than you" posts in my feed already. "See less like this" is a great option on Bluesky.
I do ok with my phone at my bedside, but I know better than to open it after I set it to vibrate and stick it on the charger.
I have enough difficulty sustaining my existing friendships. It gets much more difficult in your thirties and forties. Sustaining friendships with fellow men is especially challenging.
-Become an optimist
That is my latest problem too - the "while you sleep" stuff is on my phone - albeit the spare phone and there is nothing to scroll on it before getting out of bed.
-cleaning and decluttering my apartment
-doing laundry
-flossing before brushing
-eating a high-protein meal -spending time with a new friend
-masking
-wearing sunscreen
-read more books
-eat more cheese
-doomscroll less
-take and post more selfies
-flirt with more people
-floss/stretch every day
-avoid fighting with strangers on the internet
-become unexpectedly strong
-learn to repair clothes
-take yourself out on dates
-spend less time working nights and weekends
-snuggle with pets more often
-acquire more things gently used, thrifted, or through a neighborhood Buy Nothing Group
-take more photos of loved ones
-do more stretching
-give more compliments to strangers
-eat more desserts
