i especially liked learning about how Kim's movements across the world allowed her to avoid getting pigeon-holed into an artistic practice/product that *had*, of necessity, to engage with a specific aesthetic/cultural focus (i.e. western modernism).

even in the limited examples of her work contained in this article, i can see the distinctiveness of an artist whose work as developed out of profound internal engagement with intuition, spirit, and the universe. glorious.
