I mean if ur linking 'em to fossil fuels, yeah it's a bit indirect, but AK, TN, MS, & LA used to be covered in old growth forests, which were razed, & replaced with farms & pine plantations & now all the pine is being cut down for paper & you have hot, flat land perfect to feed energy to tornadoes.
