There’s nothing really in Target/Walmart that you can’t get elsewhere. You can get candles, wine, soap, lotion, makeup, socks, coffee mugs, bowls, plates, from any flea/farmers market, local boutique, or etsy shop.

In rural areas, it's a lot more difficult, but at least we have Dollar Tree. But we don't have the bougie Dollar Trees influencers go to, so sometimes Walmart IS the only option.
It's also a great way to make sure you're shopping smarter and vetting products for safe ingredients etc. I buy all natural shampoo off Etsy now and my thin fragile hair has been very happy.
Yes. But. There's a lot of us who live in small, rural towns where Walmart is it. I've made the decision to start driving up to the nearest bigger town to shop, but for folks without money or resources in our community, I hold no judgement for their continued Walmart shopping.
Yeah my mom’s family is from a rural town in Georgia and Atlanta is over an hour away. All they have is Walmart. This is for the people in mid sized/major cites who are addicted to buying candles every week at Target.
Not Target, but the only thing I’m struggling with to not buy from Amazon is my hair dye and the color protecting shampoo/conditioner. I know, I know - quite a privileged problem, but I can’t be the only one
It looks like I’ll need to experiment with different brands than I’ve used but otherwise, yes! I didn’t know beauty supply stores still existed, thanks!
Depending on the product for shampoo/conditioner, oftentimes your local salons might carry it! My salon carries mostly Paul Mitchell products and we do not upcharge anything from the recommended MSRP.
You can get cleaning supplies from your grocery store though! Hell, even Costco since the support DEI. After getting my apples, I’ll just venture into the toilet paper and bleach aisles and get what I need
