I have no issue with this going ptv. Rugby needs money and bbc isn’t offering any. I would hope they would spend the money developing the game in Netherlands, Germany and USA but they won’t

I politely disagree, I think despite world rugby’s efforts Rugby has a strong organic market, be it in Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Belgium, USA (it’s a very long list) Portugal. All these markets have had little to no help from world rugby and yet they thrive. 6 Nation’s is a very sellable product

I got into rugby first through playing. Then watching league on FTA, because that's all there was, just three channels back in the day. Then both codes, because of the 6N.

France is no different TV coverage wise. Top 14 games are all on pay to view channels.

The sport won’t grow without growing their viewership.
