I played Stonetop. I was the Would-Be Hero. It was fun, except that the main fighter playbook had a heavy gravitational pull. Enemies that challenged her were too much for the rest of us to handle. And we never actually got around to fancying up our village.

Love a game that makes me plan half a dozen characters for when I get to play. This is an investigative horror period piece about humans coming into conflict with the supernatural forces changed by the advent of the Industrial Revolution.

Beautiful book, too.

Speaking of beautiful books, Liminal is an urban fantasy set in modern London, and it looks fantastic. It's a good system, too, designed to be played as a series of one- to two-shot cases, quick stories that build on each other. Tropey but terrific.

This incredibly lethal game had a cool mechanic: To make a non-urgent move, you also told a personal story about yourself and marked off a topic. When the game ended, you rolled +stories told to determine how people thought about you.

That did not work out well for my poor PC.

This might be the best "Stranger Things" emulation I could find, but I honestly hate the dice mechanic an unreasonable amount. It'd probably be great if it were heavily modded, but I'm not that guy.
