When I say ‘agency’ I mean not being stuck in a never-ending whirlpool of parental crises and exhaustion and having some kind of control over my time.

Seems reasonable but seems like such a waste of a year. 2020-2023 were great years for me (which I feel hesitant to say). Loads of time for new hobbies, fewer social obligations, plenty of work... Great times, hazy days.

Yeah just realised 10% is 8 years in the average lifetime. I’m no therapy prosletyser but I guess there’s some value in the idea of identifying patterns and trying to change them. That way ‘write-offs’ don’t actually have to be that. (Not saying I actually do this lol)
