Yeah, I am being a tad exaggerative but I do think Eagles fans need to brace themselves for Baun to receive a Fred Warner type of contract, whether it be from Howie or another team.

Hard to say what that means since Warner was signed to an extension off his rookie deal where the average annual salary is 19M but really there is a lot of year to year.

I don't think Baun will get 29M/yr, but there may be a season he makes that, with the way Howie he does cap gymnastics.

Having so many defenders on rookie deals really helps.

I do think they let Becton and Sweat walk.

It will help a bit that he only has this one season under a very specific scheme to showcase. Teams are going to want him, but he doesn't have as much on tape to prove that he is equally effective in all schemes. So he's going to get paid as a top LB but not necessarily the highest paid in the NFL.

The franchise tag is a tool of control over a person. It feels wrong. But of the above players, offensive line are the most important position in football and so I say we prioritize keeping Becton.
