It's the three games of the second series of .hack games for the ps2, with an additional 4th added to wrap up the story.
There're another 4 that are prequel to these that still haven't received the same treatment.
still, extremely good buy. booted up the first one and couldn't put it down for 4 hours straight.
Though not necessary, if you do play the original 4, you'll pick up on themes and characters that cross over.
They're all worth looking into, as well as the rest of the conglomerate media, if you like the lore of The World.
It gets deep.
