Was tinkering with this PSXMemCard Gen2 today. Just came in yesterday. Took some doing but finally got it to load PS2 games right off the memory card. Amazing! Will talk more about this month on Pixel Gaiden this month. It does so much more as well. - ThreadSky

Another new way I found today is to use the PSXMemCard Gen 2 to just launch the games from SD Card. This is like a mega psx memory card that you can install a custom firmware to launch games right from the memory card itself.

No hardware mod necessary anymore. Grab a cheap memory card with free McBoot on it. You can then play burned DVDs or pop a hard drive in that fat PS2 and go to work! That's what I do.

I would just grab one off ebay or Amazon with Free McBoot already on it. It's kind of a hassle to make one yourself.

You can then just make DVDs and patch the iso file with ESR Patcher. Then use the ESR launcher inside McBoot to play.
