Grateful my parents (mainly my mom) were vigilantly anti gambling growing up. It was due to my dads gambling addiction in the 1970s.

Thanksgiving challenge! What’s something that you never thought you’d be grateful for but today you are?
Me: Being an alcoholic. Other people can get through life without ever perusing spiritual growth. I have to, or I may drink again. It’s not an easy journey but it has so many gifts.
