This would devastate places like Southern Maine, who rely on hordes of Quebecers to fill the seaside resorts from June through September. How important are they? The area is known as "the Quebec Riviera," and many businesses have French sand English signs.
I hope that is a nationwide trend. My wife and I are refusing to buy anything made in the USA. There isn’t a chance in hell we will ever travel there again - the trust has been broken.
To the extent it’s possible I’m not buying anything American. Some things are unavoidable; I can’t work without a computer, for example. But I take comfort in knowing they’re all made in China and Taiwan, and are largely designed in blue states. Hard no on travelling. Isn’t safe anyways (FAA).
