I've floated this very possibility before--"Doesn't it seem like [my son; your kid; everyone] has gotten sick way more often since their first bout with COVID?"--to doctors and others, and so many of them clearly thought I was unhinged.

It's amazing how many people in the medical profession would rather not acknowledge reality--the fact that so many not only don't mask but discourage masking in settings that put immunocompromised people at risk, because otherwise they'd have been wrong, is enraging.

What drives me 'round the bend is that I just got a shingles shot--because I had chicken pox 40 years ago. And new studies are showing that the shingles vax MAY help lower dementia risks, too. Because of 1 virus.

We still have NO IDEA what Covid will do, long and longer term, but it's "over".

so "over" people still get it and die, and people who got it in early 2020 still have LongCOVID--never mind all the people who may have been asymptomatic and now have other shit breaking down at speed because of that infection.

I know 2 people who had serious kidney issues right after covid infections. Doctors for both said that this is a known issue after a covid infection, in addition to the susceptibility for other infections post-covid. But people don't seem to know these possibilities exist, or even care 😞
