It’s a small stretch but I’ve always thought of The Last of Us whenever I think of Station Eleven. Much darker but hits similar themes (survival vs living after an apocalypse) and aesthetics (nature reclaiming a fallen world. Plus it’s also fantastic and season two is coming soon(ish)

Currently this is my workout/cleaning/shower audiobook. It’s about a group of scientists that create a portal into another Earth (just multiverse stuff) as the super volcano under Yellowstone erupts. They have to save as many people as they can before the government gets ahold of their discovery.

Devolution by Max Brooks - loved this so much. The Anomoly Quartet by James Smythe, starts off quite hard sci-fi but more into the genres you mention above. Also, if you like the style of Station Eleven, you might like Piranesi by Susannah Clarke, an absolute marvel of a novel!

Also recommending the show Salvation! It's not an A+ show, but I'd rate it a solid B and it has points for being extremely addicting, and for casting Santiago Cabrera 🔥🙌 as the lead! Plus the main character has the most insane character arc I've ever seen, worth it just for that lol
