Was just thinking about growing up in the 70s and that if the adults wanted to go to the pub, they'd either let all the kids run feral in the pub garden & surroundings or you'd be put in the car and very occasionally an adult would check on you and throw a couple of packets of crisps into the car.

Also I have warm memories of just being bought a big bottle of Corona pop and given a half pint glass and that saw me fine for the night.
I think the 60s law was, you could be there to eat, as long as accompanied by adults & you didn't drink alcohol.
One landlord refused mum & me entry, not realising we were with a party of about 15 adults, who promptly stood and left 🤣
