Absolutely infuriating that conservative rhetoric about “lazy” government workers is the dominant narrative in the public discourse. People who dedicate their lives to public service do it because they care about their community and country!

i have very few marketable skills in this realm but after spending the last two weeks talking to dozens of govt employees i would consider it a massive honor to work alongside the kind people i’ve met who are motivated by a deep sense of civic duty and public service
