So I have a ~thing~ with halflings.
As anyone who's ever had me as a player at their table or been in one of my D&D games knows... the moment I bring in a halfling, it doesn't matter how serious you think your game is or how serious I think *my* game is, it is now my comedy routine.

I would love to see a character like Jan Jansen in another game. Reading some of his quotes I can only imagine what your halfling characters were like.
Because my dwarves are always Russian and it's never NOT funny. I adore the "among friends" comedy at a goofy table. ♥️
Escanor (Barb, Male): Dolphin.
Dalfin (Rogue, Male): My name's Dalfin.
E: Who decided that?
D: ... My mother?
E: I'M YOUR MOTHER NOW!
Later, Dalfin met his abusive father who tried to force him into the family museum business, and the conversation went(2/?)
Escanor, out of character: ... should I answer that?
It was less jokes at his size and more jokes at his name.
That Rogue was also the BBEG for a brief period, before betraying Tiamat alongside the Yuan Ti Wizard and D-born Fighter NPC.
Thing is, I don't do well with competitive games. I go nuts. I don't like who I become.
But I thought "this is great!" because I wouldn't be playing to win. I'd just have fun. And boy did I!
And I lost every game. Cheerfully! While cracking jokes. Everyone loved facing me.
Or, rather, I lost *almost* every game.
And I WON. Two star players dead, my star treant incapacitated, but I WON. The dice gods were with me. I laughed so hard the dwarf guy tossed the board and quit the league.
Another friend wanted me to join his WFB club, so I made a mostly halfling army. I say "mostly" because he wouldn't let me spend ALL my points on halflings, so I had treants and a few human units in the mix. Everyone in the club was just... let's say "amazed" by my choices.
