Tokyo Disney is crazy. The entire male population of the park is having fun and wearing cute hats. In America every dude has a shirt that says “I hate my wife and that I’m here and wearing this shirt”

A review of TDR I watched on YouTube said something along the lines of "People here get more passionately into Disney than in the US parks" and I'm gonna try to get into that when I go in a few years
I feel like my opinion about this and a lot of what I’ve seen in Japan so far is that young people can come and go to most places easily, safely, and freely and that allows for vibrant culture to develop. TDR is also not that pricy so that helps.
The fact that TDR is a day trip for greater Tokyo area (& a good chunk of Japan beyond that) means that the vibe is totally different, because there's a much higher number of people using it as a day out with friends/weekend date/whatever than at U.S. parks.
(also if you guys think it's cheap *now* with the advantage of the current exchange rate, I remember when the secondary market would be flooded w/ discounted 'campus pass' tickets they sold to college students - you could get them for close to ¥5,000. Sadly they check for student IDs these days.)
They dancing Baymax fans, the people who have displays for where they sit at the parade, the hats, and the outfits are so elaborate and cool. It’s so fun.
Absolutely. I was impressed by how many people of both sexes and all ages were wearing costumes or other fun stuff when we were there in October. Older men were the most likely to not be wearing anything like that but not in a bah humbug way.
For sure which is funny because I feel like older men at like the Anaheim park are very sweet and into the parks. But I love the commitment to the park by men in Tokyo
I also genuinely think this is nice rather for a Disney day minus the fact it’s probably gonna be a washout for the electrical parade. I’m gonna be bummed I miss that parade

They even offer weeknight tickets!
