Two notes
1) if this was planned, then putting these folks on contract would've been less expensive and painful for everyone involved
2) NetEase might look at the current climate in the US and be thinking "maybe we just start divesting"

Obvious to me at least that NA/UK devs are too expensive to keep on after they built Marvel Rivals, now Daddy NetEase will take it and run it more cheaply! What a cool deal!!!!!!! Great model!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
