They really do. I have 3 of them, the "youngest" of which turns 20 this year. That longevity speaks for itself. They haven't been babied and they've never given me trouble.

It's a Pelikan M400 from 2002-ish. My wife got me the custom nib a few years later. Fantastic pen, and super reliable. It works as well as they day I got it!

Reminds me of my early 2000s’ Waterman (new when I was lucky to receive it as a gift)! All the same qualities. I won’t leave my writing app without it 🤣

LOL thanks! I'm a guitarist and keep the nails on my fretting hand nice and trim. It's a Waterman Phileas. They were in production for quite a while so I'm not sure how to date it unfortunately.

I think it is a Waterman Philius. Spelling probably wrong. They stopped making this model about 10 years ago. It's a pity because it is a really nice pen.

Yup, exactly. It's an "entry level" pen that still works for me after almost 30 years. I looked it up again recently and I believe it's spelled "Phileas". I didn't know the model name either and was curious a year or two ago.
