No corporate donations, corporations are not voters in a democracy. Donations must only be allowed to be made by registered voters. And a cap is a good idea but £100k is ridiculous. 5k per annum is plenty.
Money is not the essence of democracy, we are.

The govt should re-write the laws on treason. Currently treason only applies to those who do deliberate harm to the Crown. It needs changing to include those who do deliberate harm to the UK & its people. That way a large number of foreign activists & their followers could end up in the slammer.

Unfortunately, they're having an extensive consultation and think before any potential legislation is introduced in 2026 - so giving the parties at least 18 months to build up a war chest before any potential new rules come into play... 🙄

It would also be prudent to preemptively legislate against the formation of Political Action Committees (as seen in the US) - IIRC, organisations which are unconnected to political parties but independently campaign for them, so bypassing political donation rules.
