We already have ability to prosecute on a number of fronts in electoral law. Problem is no one takes this on, police to busy and councils don't always have the staff.

Couple of years ago I remember seeing an article where a politician in another country ended up going to prison because the courts determined she'd knowingly lied, or at least had failed to demonstrate adequate due diligence.

We need that in the UK.
