Also, it's amazing how much "people who are still masking" aligns on racial lines. This morning's appointment: at the heavily white suburban campus of the hospital, I was the only one masked.

I'm not as strict, but I do most of my shopping between 7-8 AM when I'm one of few people in the store and keep my distance. If I'm out later or in a crowd, most def masking.

Our whole family has worn masks since March 2020. From cloth to cloth plus filters to kn94 to respirators. People who think masking is burdensome should try a better mask - @flomask.bsky.social makes super lightweight ones & my husband passes fit tests with a beard in his.

Masking is a subversive act and it’s also a great way to show that you in fact are part of a community that is willing to fight and not give in to lies or coercion.
Masks are power and the more people who wear them the more power we have as a group

Visited a friend at the hospital in my liberal college town yesterday. A sign at the entrance asked visitors to mask up due to the high rate of circulation locally of covid, flu, norovirus, etc.

No other visitor masked up. Best I got was no side eyes. Smdh.
