I have a lot of biases against the actual play scene, but I do enjoy Feddie Scum - specifically because there is an inherent joke about what it is. Its one of those rare products where you feel welcomed to dismiss it as a bunch of "fucking nerds" in a derogatory way, and rather than having any defense or pride they'd just sort of pause and nod and wait for you to finish getting what you wanted out of the fridge and leave, before continuing on.

Its one of those rare experiences of it feeling real, which is funny because its more in line with a play report styling than an actual play styling - but words don't fucking mean anything.

I dunno, I like it. Wish it had more Zoids but I can dig it.

I just like using the memetic of it, because aside from watching Chaotic Century as a youth, I have no real attachment save for how it makes mockery of Gundam by being the animal mecha show.

If they ever did one, I'd complain that it wasn't Beast Wars.

Seriously though, its such a rare vibe to have a product that feels like you're walking in on some teenagers playing with toys and for a hot second they're self-aware that this breaks social decorum and they need to be above it; only for them to rejoin that joy when you take a step back.

Go for it.

Its a rare thing to make a product that captures the sensation of the audience being a dad/mom/relative walking in on a bunch of nerds and trying to process what's going on.

That alone does make it a sort of art I have not seen elsewhere in the broader field.
