Instead he is de-documenting those here legally.

The Trump administration has ordered the creation of 500K more illegal immigrants by stripping temporary protected status from Haitians. Vance said he didn't care they were here legally he would still call them illegal aliens. Now Trump gets to make the law match his rhetoric.

In his first term, there were similar attempts to interfere with legal immigration. I don't think there's enough awareness that his fixation is not simply with illegal immigrants.
