Preferential hiring for veterans is an important recruiting tool for the armed forces, and hiring veterans to serve veterans at the VA is especially helpful. My nephew retired after 20+ years in the Navy and now, after 17 years of service at the VA, is also being crapped on by DOGE know-nothings.
