Some of y'all need to realize that people can simultaneously be marginalized and be absolute pieces of shit. I'm disabled, I once came into the social circle of a disabled man who sexually assaulted people & was able to feign plausible deniability because of it.

Marginalization may explain or justify some things but not everything. And ppl get so caught up in debate & semantics that they fail to notice they're being manipulated out of the modt basic metrics of decency.
It applies both ways and assuming a disabled person is a piece of shit despite their disability is worse in my opinion.
We are talking about the fact that we should be able to make honest assessments of people's behavior and not give free passes to do harm because of their identities.
One guy called anyone with a chronic illness 'fake disabled' and I now think of him as Only Crip in the Village.
And we should be able to have conversations about structural issues while also having conversations about individuals and their accountability to humane treatment of others
I say this bc, like you and many others, I have *seen* some shit within my marginalized demo(s)... 😬
When I finally told our friends I ended up being ostracized.
But automatically assuming someone must be right because they appear on the surface to be marginalized is wild. There are bad people everywhere, who will always take advantage of a free pass.
And the worst people are always hungry to leverage that. Don't turn your critical thinking off. That's how you fall in with grifters.
Its also infantilizing
Good people are never going to advocate that those who belong to the same groups they do are incapable of perpetuating harm
I find that sometimes people just try to flip or move the structure of white supremacy (xxx traits equal pure, right, truthful) instead of actually dismantling it, and it shows.
This is often how the worst people will gather & weaponize their defenders.
