Everytime this comes up I recall too clearly meeting w/ proud new vice presidents of everything Sask Health Boards 1991 when they pulled everything community back into hospitals from where it'd been extracted in 1973. Forewarned- dissolving the continuum of care community to hosps wld be a disaster.

Home medical care. We need it back, badly. No one wants to stay in LTC or a hospital. Also funding home living care, things that some people can't do anymore, like laundry, floors, cooking. Even just 3-4 hours a week would help, a LOT. Get the STC back up and running, free transportation for seniors

The well off, the rich, do not care, because like here near us, if they need help they can fly to wherever they can get it. Like Germany. And probably get a refund too, because it's a good old boys club, and we're not in it.

The federal gov needs to give us each our own hc card that when we use theirs, it charges them directly overlooking more who keeps pocketing the money and paying 4 private.

Right now, first, get surgeries to everyone that needs them. Send them out of province, wherever (and pay their way there and back).
Create a massive crash healthcare worker programme. Doctors, nurses, techs, all the other positions, train them, pay for their education. For starters at least.
