Ukraine was part of Russia/Soviet Union for 500 years until 1991. Things change, and then sometimes they go back to the way they were. Deal with it. Ukraine is not strong enough to stand on its own and discriminate against Russian ethnic majorities. It needs to respect self-determination.
Ukraine is pretty strong considering it holds its ground with its own army vs the Russian superpower. Why did the Soviet Union collapse? Was it too weak?
LOL! Have you any idea the tonnage of foreign military material sent to Ukraine? Please. They cannot win a war of attrition with Russia. They are already kidnapping citizens off the streets and outlawed democratic elections!
Ukraine was never a separate country until after 1991. It was always a province within Russia, ruled in part by Cossacks and local tribal leaders, but always within Russia. Easter provinces and Crimea deserve the same freedom and independence, being ethnic Russian majority.
They don't need to fight for such things. Russia was provoked into invasion, offered early peace deal, but Zelensky pressured to resist for strategic & economic advantages. US/NATO made promises, and now Ukraine is in death grip. No way out. Now that Trump is President he can broker deal for peace.
