Time to do some research.
Our only hope is that the military brass rejects unconstitutional orders. Because if they don’t, everyone under them will follow the orders of their C.O.
We don’t want an army that doesn’t follow orders, we want a strong judicial system that ensures illegal orders aren’t given, but you need strong courts for that.

I doubt they’ll be part of the solution.
It’s more likely that a rogue general who won’t shoot civilians will fall afoul of this rule than someone who follows orders and shoots.
I’m constantly amazed at what Americans will put of with them enduring.
If others get shot, they will be painted as either dangerous subversive criminals, or innocent victims, “lost in the crossfire to the scourge of evil immigrants.”

The military is supposed to have no jurisdiction over civilians.
But here they are, transporting civilians.
