I need to pressure wash our deck too. It also needs to be sanded & sealed again, but I'm at least paying someone to sand it. I did it once & it was BS & I'm not doing that again.
Ya it would be a ton of work to do all that yourself.
We bought the house 3 years ago.
It had the deck sealed in some kind of epoxy. Hope it lasts!
If not I don’t know how much work it would be to take it off
I am too old to be on my knees like that. I was unprepared for how hard that would be. I will gladly pay the money now, and am grateful for the ones that can do it for me.
We had our deck resurfaced & added a big section on in 2021, it is cedar so we had to let it "season" before we could seal it, which meant it had to be sanded again first. We figured we could do it to save money. The sanding along took about a week between 3 of us. It was miserable! Never again!

Under the 2 metal planters was nasty! Very green with mossy stuff. Took a while to get it back
Tomorrow I’ll haul up my pots with the tulips and daffodils 👏👏👏
