To me, intention means nothing over impact. The post is still up even years later. Even when Black folks, in particular Black authors, have taken her aside and told her why she fucked up. She has yet to give a real apology or atone for her bullshit.

So no, SJM will never get a cent from me.

I already have quite a few books from black lgbtia authors on my 2025 reading plan, but I would adore if you or someone else could put together a recommend reading list specifically for Black History Month.

With my current work load I could probably balance 8-12 books for the month.

I only found out about SJM doing that shit this year and I was baffled. She still has the post up too which is just a big yikes and a half. Annoyingly, one of my friends is very social/criminal justice but loves this series and when I told them about this they just thought it was funny? Big yikes x2
