Mine has started telling me I need to activate Windows after the last update...which I don't. Don't need OneDrive, don't need AI, don't need ads in the start menu. A clean, basic experience is sounding like heaven right about now...
When I bought a new PC it came pre-installed with Windows 11 to my great disappointment. Although, having said that, I have seen Copilot show up on my old Windows 10 PC taskbar as well. They make it harder and harder to escape useless junk
No version of Windows has had me configuring registry files as often as Windows 11 has.
It’s like every update includes some new garbage that can’t be disabled unless you’re willing to spend time hunting down a bunch of registry key values to zero out.
I'm over the bloat. I was pleasantly surprised by the new Snip tool and how useful it makes sharing demo videos quickly for work. But that alone is not nearly worth it
I'm wondering, since now I have my Steam Deck, just how much I actually need Windows anymore? If studios run Linux all the time, maybe I can get by with it as well...
For your work I think you'd be totally fine with Linux as long as you don't rely on any plugins that's windows only? Because you just send of rigs right? So you should be good I think?
I guess there might be some outliers of a program or game 🤔 Keep a cheeky little dual boot ready to go perhaps.
