The Unspoken Name duology by AK Larkwood. Incredibly queer, epic in scale, excellent take on religion in fantasy, featuring a woman burning down the world for her girlfriend.
The Perfect Assassin, first in the Chronicles of Ghadid series. Queernorm setting, featuring ace, lesbian, and pan protagonists. Philosophical characters and lots of fighting undead. Fun and made me care deeply about the characters.
Fireheart Tiger, a short piece by Aliette de Bodard, but my favorite of hers. Anti- colonialism, family drama, and leaving an abusive relationship for a healthier one, all woven in to one neat little package.
I saw someone else recommend The Unbroken by CL Clark and I would definitely second that. That was one of my favorites from my year of reading f/f. The sequel is equally good and I'm eagerly awaiting the last in the trilogy.
On that same vein, The Jasmine Throne by Tasha Suri. More queer epic fantasy with similar anti- colonial vibes. I really loved the weirdness of the plant magic too.
Recently recommended to me by the threader community when asked for FFM/poly
-Wytchling Chronicles by CC Davie
-Born of Flame & Fury by Hannah Danielle
-Pyramid Stunt and A Samguine Solstice by Alex la Bruyer
-The Midnight Confession Series by Jenn Bullard and Amber Nicole
Legends and Lattes! It's my favorite book of all time, and I constantly point folks in its direction. Slow burn sapphic romance, orc warrior woman retires from adventuring and opens a coffee shop. It's so, SO charming, and it has an equally amazing prequel from the main character's adventuring days.
*cracks knuckles*
Alright so are you wanting a book that focuses on the queer aspect, like a queer romance set in a fantasy world or are you wanting just a fantasy novel but the cast is queer?
Have you already read The Locked Tomb series? Gideon the Ninth is the first book. It's a bit more scifi, but the characters are necromancers. She Who Became the Sun is good too (also explicit, just a warning), it's a Sapphic Chinese fantasy.
Uh, tell you what. Why don't I just DM you a list.
Stuff Ive already read with some amount of queer elements:
Nevernight series
The Locked Tomb
The Stormlight Archives (but loosely and only after like 4 1k pg books)
The Broken Earth Trilogy (not a main focus but def present)
if you're a fan of retellings, Once and Future and its sequel, Sword in The Stars is a queer scifantasy retelling of the King Arthur story and it rules

Basically a queer version of like Stormlight Archives would be great but Ill settle for queer A Court of Thorns and Roses.

CL Clarke's the Unbroken is a little more...colonial fantasy?
