Can videos, even viral ones, alone, heal or divide? Or do we need to point out the very real conditions in the liver world that they reflect or create?

Politics (not only partisan, but power and culture 2) do not reduce down to only words. That is being redpilled by Lutz and Lakoff.

My charitable read is that Jason himself is a victim of the Overton window created by the two-party system, while not being too familiar w politics outside that window. This is why many Jubilee videos are framed as liberals vs conservatives, when who has power is often left out of the conversation

As a reaaally tiny example from the interview, Jason's "is America the best country?" is already inherently a little nationalist and leans right. But this is also the status quo without question! Why must there a best country, or borders, is never brought up in the conversation.

As Taylor challenged Jason a couple times, should trans people have rights? The answer is unequivocally yes, but when you present it in a "middle ground" context, it becomes "which rights should trans people have"

It's further revealing when Jason mentions things like SCV and Myers Briggs. More of the status quo contained within the neoliberal Overton window.

If Jason really wants to make more content featuring actual politicians like he says in the interview, Bernie Sanders should be his first guest
