Great question here. I usually see “Pin ups” in art sections all over but I don’t really know what they are specifically? From my current experience it seems like most of them are designed to be eye catching? That or I might be tripping here. Is it just 2D art? I would google it but nah
Pinups typically are a dynamic pose showing a person’s curves in an appealing way, usually with some sort of hourglass body and older art style. Think super old sailor jerry tats of women propped up in uniforms or leaning against something.
This is wayyy less traditional pinup wise in all ways 💔
Yeah nah I think I get it now, but I think my point is that it’s sorta specific isn’t it? I wonder where it originated from. Actually it’s giving new grounds, someone tell me if I’m right here.
But this specific one gives me newgrounds vibes because of the anatomy and choice of clothing 💀 its moreso going for lewd than like..a pinup tbh. Pinups are finicky, think stuff like Playboy mags
Pinups in themselves started in the tattoo industry in the 50s or so as a way for sailors to get tattoos of their wives or sexy women for when they go overseas, it was a huge trend and they’re super common in the “sailor jerry” art style. Pinups are meant to be specific but ppl kinda just..dont care

I mean at least no one can cut off her arms or legs but like her heart is right there to stab
It makes too much sense. It haunts me.
I remember a group of old women raised cash for cancer research with a nude calendar... I think them being so old was part of the joke...
I actually don't remember many details.
