Wow and here we can’t keep the feeders full… every 2 days need a refill for all 3 plus the deer feeder… they are killing the food so fast!

Don’t know too much about their behavior but some days they seem pushy to those smaller birds here. But since we rarely see them I don’t think it’s too much of an issue

Gorgeous capture! I love Blue Jays - they are very intelligent, and while they can be bossy, they are the ones that save other birds as they make the most racket when there is a predator near! I can always tell when there is a snake or hawk in the yard! Plus, they are just so darn beautiful! 💙

In winter w/o tree foliage the Blue Jays are a prime target for predator birds. The peanut feeder goes from 2lbs a day at peak in fall to .5 or so a day in winter
