We need to change the language. Ectopic pregnancy and sepsis are REAL dangers and not viable pregnancies. Many on the right would agree if we don't use the word abortion.

Jess tried to tell ppl before the election.
Doctors tried to tell law makers before they signed the bill.
Theologians tried to tell ppl that the Bible doesn't ban abortion or being trans or gay
At least 5 women died of being pregnant in states that had abortion bans before the election.

women who can afford to will be traveling for care. that’s not new and it never has been. to say “just go somewhere to get care” is NOT a solution. its a way to ignore the masses of people who simply cannot do that. we have to fight and advocate for the people who can’t

i’m extremely lucky to live in Washington state. the women in my community don’t need to have plans. but at least i’m not telling women in another community that they should just travel for care. i advocate for them and have been since before i started working in abortion care

I agree, but Joe Kent didn’t lose by that much, considering he’s a fascist. He should’ve lost by 90 percent. Washington women are as vulnerable as Oregon. This is a never ending battle.

what i mean by not needing to have plans is for right now.

if things change than we will have to evaluate what plans would be best. but i cant plan for every what if

You are lucky being close to BC... BUT you, like those of us in CA, need to be prepared for the Fascists... and if it comes to care for women, elderly, or the most vulnerable - which is who the Fascists will target - we need to be prepared to go to where care can be given.
