Still, I don't think a middle ground is hard to find.

Nobody wants a government MP to be dressed in a shabby, badly fitted suit (look at every photo of Boris Johnson as PM, shirt dutifully untucked). But at the same time, most MPs earn enough to buy their own smart clothes.
