Recently I’ve been working with some trial records that were written by a very clumsy scribe. More than once, I’ve found pages where ink has seemingly been spilled onto the page, and hastily wiped up.

Maybe it’s water damage, but it’s odd to see on only a couple pages. Here’s the most recent.
